Good Afternoon Chickadee Families!

This has been a  fun week of celebrating. On Monday we “hung” ornaments on our classroom Christmas Tree. Tuesday we painted for a special project. Shhh! It is a secret! Wednesday we made our own guacamole. All  the kids enjoyed the making process. The eating process was hit or miss; not everyone is an avocado fan.
Thursday was our busiest day! We celebrated Sankta Lucia by watching a little video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_dOzss9ydk (The video says it is 15 minutes long, but it is a collection of songs and we only watched the first one). Then we dressed up an had a parade through the school. After that we came back to the class for a special snack of saffron buns and ginger snaps.
Then on Friday we decorated snowman cookies. Next week we will be doing activities to celebrate Kwanza and Yule.
Next week we will be having two of our Bumble BaBee friends visiting us part of the day; they will be joining our class after winter break. Reminder that we are closed December 24 – January 1.
Have a Wonderful Weekend!
