Chickadee Newsletter Week of 10/29/2018
What a fun and busy week! Between celebrating, drawing, painting, music, yoga, and going trick-or-treating we did quite a lot.
Halloween was great, and everyone loved the children’s costumes. The kids were able to enjoy music with Mr. Scott, and then we went out trick-or-treating at Alfalfa’s as well as the other shops right near there. I hope everyone had a fun, safe, and Happy Halloween  at home as well.
On Thursday we celebrated Dia de los Muertos. The day began with this little video. It is about 3 minutes, and worth the watch. The kids got the opportunity to paint Sugar Skull pictures with water colors. Being a new medium, the chickdees weren’t too sure on how to use this type of paint. There was a lot of spilled water, which lead to ripped paper, but still had a good time. Miss Ari had a lot of fun painting everyone’s faces. Some friends were able to sit a little stiller than others, but they all looked GREAT. Miss Ari apologizes if the paint didn’t wash off as easily as she remembered, it is time to buy new face paint!
