Pumpkins

Notes and Reminders:

Our class had a fun trip to the pumpkin patch last week! The kids got to play in corn, run through a maze, climb a hay mountain, pet animals and pick out their own pumpkins. Riding the bus was also a special adventure for everyone. Thank you so much to anyone who was able to join us or help out in anyway! You are all appreciated.

Important Dates:

Our Halloween parade is going to be at 9 am on October 31st. We hope you’re able to join us as we walk around in our costumes.

Conferences will be held on Thursday November 1st, Friday November 2nd and Monday November 5th from 3:30-5 pm.  A sign-in sheet will be available for you to set up a time to meet. Please plan on checking in for no longer than 15 minutes to set some goals for this year. If you are unable to get here by 5 please contact me so we can arrange another time.

Activities:

This week we learned about mixing colors to make orange, which the kids did with their hands to make a pumpkin craft. We also got to know our letter “P’s” by searching for the hidden ones on an alphabet pumpkin. After our visit to the pumpkin patch we explored the inside of our huge class pumpkins and picked out the seeds to roast. Some of the kids even tasted the pumpkin! We also got to paint our little pumpkins to take home!
